Botswana Opens Floating Solar Opportunity Across Water Utility Dams

Botswana’s Water Utilities Corporation invited qualified companies, joint ventures and consortia to express interest in developing floating solar photovoltaic systems on its dams. The tender was reported on 28–29 October 2026. Project capacity and investment value have not yet been disclosed. The opportunity may attract renewable-energy developers, environmental consultants and sustainability specialists.
